This project involved redesigning a classic book that explores the infiltration of Nazism into the punk rock scene and the subsequent cultural degradation. Inspired by the book's themes, I utilised a Constructivist design approach, a style prominent in early 20th-century German propaganda.
Constructivism's geometric shapes, bold typography, and stark colour contrasts effectively conveyed the tension and conflict within the narrative. This design choice underscored the authoritarian and oppressive nature of Nazism, reflecting how it corrupted punk rock culture.
By incorporating Constructivist elements, the redesign not only aligned with the book's historical context but also enhanced the reader's engagement, making the book's themes more impactful and resonant.
